42dot is spearheading Hyundai Motor Group's transition to Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) as a Mobility AI Company. The UX Writer at 42dot is responsible for designing in-vehicle infotainment system UI/UX from a user-centric perspective, delivering exceptional microcopy to refine the user experience. This role involves proposing contextually optimized text, establishing efficient UX writing processes, and contributing to the successful launch of products by staying ahead of rapidly evolving technologies and trends.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain UI and UX text including labels, notifications, and instructional content for vehicles, ensuring clarity and consistency across the system.
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and service architects to align content with design specifications and functionality, contributing to a cohesive user experience.
• Develop and implement UI/UX writing guidelines and standards specific to 42dot’s interfaces, ensuring a consistent voice and tone that align with 42dot’s brand and enhance usability.
• Write UI/UX content with localization and internationalization in mind, ensuring that text can be easily adapted for different regions and languages.
• Participate in usability testing to gather feedback on content effectiveness, making data-driven revisions to improve user comprehension and engagement.
• Review and validate UI/UX content in both Korean and English to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability across different scenarios and contexts. Identify and resolve linguistic issues, mistranslations and inconsistencies to maintain high-quality text across all interfaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in UX writing, particularly within automotive interfaces or related technology sectors.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex information succinctly; familiarity with design tools and software used in content creation and management.
• Strong ability to plan and execute content projects from strategy to delivery, focusing on improving the user experience through clear, concise, and effective content.
• Understanding of user-centered design principles, automotive industry standards, and accessibility considerations in digital interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, incorporating feedback from various stakeholders to enhance the user experience.
• Must be a native Korean speaker and fluent in English.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, especially in the tech or startup industry, with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving product needs.
• Passion for vehicles and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
