We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, safety, and growth of our physical workspaces. This role will lead new office build-outs and renovation projects, manage a network of internal and external vendors, and ensure our facilities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate brings hands-on construction and operations experience, strong vendor management skills, and a proactive approach to site safety and disaster preparedness, helping to build workplaces that support 42dot's continued growth.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day facility operations across all office locations, ensuring a safe, functional, and productive work environment
Lead new office build-outs and construction projects from planning through completion, including scope development, timeline management, and budget oversight
Manage existing office renovation and improvement projects, coordinating with architects, general contractors, and internal stakeholders
Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with internal and external facility vendors (janitorial, maintenance, security, landscaping, contractors, etc.)
Develop, implement, and maintain site disaster preparedness and business continuity/recovery plans
Establish and enforce workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations
Oversee preventive maintenance programs for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety)
Manage facilities budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Serve as primary point of contact for landlords, property managers, and building management
Support space planning, seating allocation, and office moves/reconfigurations
Respond to and resolve facility-related emergencies and employee requests in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in facilities management, corporate real estate, or related field
Demonstrated experience managing office build-outs and/or construction/renovation projects
Proven track record of vendor sourcing, negotiation, and management
Experience developing or executing disaster recovery/business continuity plans
Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA, fire/life safety codes)
Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting facilities for a fast-growing technology or engineering-driven company
Certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP, or PMP
Experience managing multi-site facilities across different regions

$131,000 - $191,400
